My decorating skills of awesome

I spent yesterday afternoon running errands. Mostly that means I searched the town high and low for LED Christmas lights, roping, bows, stocking holders and stuff to make a wreath. And also kitty litter, but that's not decorating related.

So here's Mitzie, pretending she was alive when Jesus was born. She's always been sad that there aren't cats in Nativity scenes.

Here's the wreath I made. It already had the pine cones, but I added the rest. I made the bow. I'm sure you can't tell. ;)

Look at the stocking holders I found for the monstas stockings:

And here's our tree. I dislike artificial trees a lot. So the only one I'll ever have is one that doesn't try to look like a real tree. I think ours fits that bill.

It looks a bit lopsided, so I'll fix that later. It sits on top of our fireplace (far away from curious kittens). And it has a color wheel that shines on it at night and rotates and makes the tree change colors. Someday Jeff says we'll have room for a real tree. And then I can use my cool ornaments instead of the cheap plastic ones that are shatter resistant because Mitzie likes to eat pieces of broken ornaments that she knocks off of trees.

We're meeting our new petsitter today at noon (which it nearly is). So enough blogging for me!

I love the picture of Mitzie being part of the nativity scene :-)
